"'I HAD NO WISH TO TAKE A LIFE, NOT EVEN A HUMAN"',' REPEATED BOXER, AND HIS EYES WERE FULL OF TEARS."

Reading: Animal Farm- George Orwell.

I'm sure you are all aware of the galaxy theme going about on clothing. It really quite amazing to look at.

There is a wide variety of galaxy inspired clothing on Blackmilk clothing and it is beautiful.

But being someone who loves a bit of DIY (and is over whelmed by wearing this amount of print) I gave it a go at making simple monotone galaxy inspired shoes. The bonus is I painted them in greys and white so they're nice and easy to wear!

I think they turned out really well, and exactly what I wanted.

I bought a pair of canvas shoes from New Look and using Dylon fabric paint, paintbrushes and a piece of card splatted paint over the shoes. Then added a few 'shooting stars'.

They remind me of driving to my boyfriends old practise space in thee middle of nowhere. It was so peaceful and silent and (unlike in the town I live in) you could see stars above you. They need to hurry up and dry so I can wear them.

Finally you might remember from my previous post that I love shopping in charity shops. Today my boyfriend completed his first day of volunteering at the YMCA (I'm so proud of him, he's a truly amazing individual it feels like every day he does something that makes me prouder to know him)- and he's bought me a present! I can't wait to find out what it is.

these are the original shoes Therese and you can pick up the fabris dye from any sort of craft store- mine was from hobby craft, and if you wanted them more like the colourful galaxy you can use a sponge to add a coloured mist them splat the paint on.
      hope this helps
