Check out my beautiful new addition to my wardrobe- a leather studded patched knitted jumper!!
This DIY was inspired by a Trip to Oxford street Topshop where I saw a beauty by the Ragged Priest its a real beauty so I would strongly suggest if you're not DIY inclined I would check this jumper out.
I feel ill with the thought of real leather so close to my face- I can't stand stand the smell and the feel. I really don't know why I don't like it, we even have a pair of leather sofas in our living room I have never sat on because the though of it makes me feel ill. I know I'm a little strange and I can cope with leather shoes but not close to my face. SO the only solution was to make my own. My DIY is similar but where as that was real worn vintage leather (that looks very soft and fab) this is faux leather, NONE of it is vintage, and I wanted MASSIVE shoulders on my jumper.
This DIY is very, very easy! I managed this in just a few short hours- although was hard at first as I don't have the arm strength to bend back the prongs and it took me a while to think of using a penny to help bend them.
My jumper was from the YMCA, leather from Hobby craft ad the studs where from Studs & Punks (which I strongly recommend).
I simply cut out two oval shapes, pushed through a handful of studs and stitched them onto the jumpers shoulders.
So what do you guys think?
