"PUT ON YOUR HIGH-HEEL SNEAKERS, OUT THAT WIG HAT ON YOUR HEAD".

Listening to: High-Heel Sneakers- The Rolling Stones

If you follow me on twitter (@JodieMarieDavey) you would have heard that  I had a little trouble with a pair of laces this week- and ended up getting my twin sister to help me. The trainers in question was laced the cool kid way (like stripes) and as I am far from cool not only did I need to have them tightened (I am in no way down with the kids) but couldn't figure out how to tighten them and had to get help re lacing them. Now they are in a pretty cross over lace patten.

Anyway; meet the first pair of trainers I have owned in over 12 years- these absolute beautiful concealed wedge trainers from Topshop.

Wedge sneakers: Topshop
Jacket: Charity shop  (ex military- similar here)
Dress: Charity shop
Socks: Primark
Bag: Gift
Shark tooth necklace: Gift
Garters: DIY (will post soon)

Wedge trainers are INCREDIBLY comfortable and the hidden wedge lengthens legs (and encourages me to keep a good posture). I've paired mine with a dress and my camo jacket (as encouraged by Laura who has styled her own wedge sneakers beautifully). I am not usually one to wear light colours (I'm  a black and dark girl at heart) but every so often I like to wear something completely different- such as this beautiful light pink slip. Even the sneakers them selves are a step away from normal Jodie- BEIGE!! I have to say I like the difference.

Now which pair should I convince my sister to buy in view of borrowing them (its what twin sisters are  for). These leopard print pair from River Island (I love- I mean she loves- leopard print), or the red (she really likes red), or the standard black?

  11. I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of concealed wedge trainers, but I just can't seem to commit to buying a pair, as I have no idea how I'd style them - I'm sure I'd find a thousand ways to wear them if I'd just settle on a pair I liked!
I love how you've styled yours though :) xx
