Today I have the day off due to the fact thst after 3 weeks (well 2 1/2 weeks) in full time employment I've worked enough overtime to equal a day off. Whoop! I'm not complaining being the only full time member of staff I would have been at work on my own today.
So instead my days been full of appointment - one of which was getting Baby Bears hair cut and practically crying when he ran into the arms of the male groomer without a backwards glance. He's now home and strutting around the house like he's the next big thing.
Other than that I've got a lot of DIY to do (the list is never ending!)
This is what I wore today.
Knee high socks: Primark
Bag: River Island
Lips: Crimson (Boots Natural Collection)
Plimsolls: Shoe Zone
Yes these plimsolls are the type pretty much everyone wore in primary school, but they're not the exact pair I wore. I buy a new pair 3 times a year and physically wear then until death until the soles can't take anymore. For 3 months of hard wear £2.49 is a small price to pay. I've bought other versions from supermarkets, high street shops and school supply shops but this version is the most comfortable and hard wearing- but they all do have a burnt rubber smell.
What with the plimsolls and the high pony tail people might think I'm a but attached to the 90s and I'll be 100% honest until recently I hadn't wore my hair like this. I haven't since the mid 90s actually. Pretty much because at the age of 7 my mum cut off all hair and I've not made any attempt at growing it until the last year. I've only ever had short hair.
I like it up like this because ...
a) it looks "right" as its how my hair was the last time it was long (although it's never been this long).
b) keeps it away from my neck and stops the strangled feeling.
c) it hits my eyebrows when I lean toward which is hilarious!
The layered jacket is back as is the over the knee socks, what's new to 'Be A Goddess' is this awesome sleeveless shirt from Boohoo. I've actually had it since Christmas and usually wear it with jeans or leggings or tucked into my leather look skater skirt (also from Boohoo). I nearly always pair it with my vintage bow tie.
I love Boohoo and I'm a bit sad this shirt isn't for sale anymore, but happy as I've fallen in love with their other sleeveless shirts. This yellow Aztec version is defiantly the greens cousin. I'm never sure if yellow (I have jaundice toned skin) but I love this.
But I'm blown out if the water by the amazing sleeveless denim shirts! Look at the fantastic stripe Aztec version :) and the beautiful lace collar on the third. Basically every sleeveless shirt I love (maybe it because I like showing off my tattoos and bingo wings?)
