So the long weekend is finally over, did anyone else get confused constantly which day it was? I feel a little like I've been asleep for a month I'm so muddled.
Yesterday I completely forgot about April Fools until I was getting into bed- I've got the BEST idea for next year ;) at least I didn't fall for anything (although I was close when my local gig venue said they booked Buffy Clyro). Plus I finally found the perfect oversized shirt dress that fitted!!!! I'm beyond happy and can't wait to wear it :) thank you River Island!!!
Dress: Topshop (similar here)
Tights and socks: Primark
Hair scarf: Claire's Accessories
Bag: River Island
Lips: wine- Rimmel
Shoes: Mr Shoes
This is what I wore for my little shopping trip (where I actually planned to look at swimming costumes not dresses). It's not the only thing that's slipped my mind this weekend- the LONG list of clothes alterations and DIYs haven't even been touched.
I'm still attempting the monotone look I think this is a more comfortable attempt for me. Mostly black with a hint of white. I picked up these shoes when I was actually looking for some new work shoes (which I still haven't bought- I need something "splash resistant" smart and most importantly comfortable). You probably remember my lust for Dr Martens, and these look very similar but the quality is not quite the same they don't feel like the will last nearly as long as my Dr Martens boots. I'm secretly hoping they fall apart really soon so I can justify buying these in white from Dr Martens (and in black and maybe purple).
I think white shoes are such an easy way to update my usual all black look for this season and I was thinking of buying a pair of white creepers from Underground but I preferred this style once I tried them. My love for Dr Martens will never end and I know I have this style in Brown but they look awesome in white (I want them!). Can I just be the Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe?
