MY "ANNIE" DRESS.

Dress: Mod Dolly
Jacket: DIY
Studded garters: DIY
Plimsoles: Shoe Zone
Padlock necklace: Rabbit R Padlock
Bag: Gift

What do you think of the photos?

Me and Chris have trying to develop the outfit shots we've been taking and this is our first attempt at upping our game and having a bit more composition :)

I know Chris feels very embarrassed taking my photo, but we've become a bit of a team. We look for a setting, take a few practice shots of the landscape and I tell him what composition I like (this tree in shot, this angle, me facing this way ect) and leave it to him. Chris tells me to look this way or moves about and the end product is something better than I imagined.

We want to end up taking more photo shoot like outfit shots once a week/fortnight so bare with us. But my blog will still be injected with the usual outfit photos so it won't suffer from content.

I currently collecting a mass of blogger inspiration to share with Chris so if you have any posts/ no of any please refresh my memory :)

Anyway on to the outfit.

I wore this Saturday. I woke up and felt awful (being a PCOS suffer is no fun at times) and wanted little more than to stay in bed but that's not how I roll. Instead me and Chris planned to go for an easy drive in the country, ending up at the Galleria in Hatfield for a milkshake. Chris also ended up buying me an amazing 90s CD which was full of tunes we grew up hearing which we shouted out on the way home.

As my stomach felt so swollen and painful I picked out my amazing Mod Dolly dress (which I wore to my photo shoot last week too). It's perfectly baggy and reminds Chris of Annie so is possibly the most comfortable item I own. It's also not too long/short. Basically what I'm saying is buy it. Or this one in red or this one in purple.

I also put on my comfy plimsoles and threw on my DIY denim to keep me warm, plus the garter and padlock necklace to toughen up the look a bit (I don't want to look too much like Annie).

I've been obsessed over the perfect "messy bun" as of late. In which I mean the sort of bun that has a LOT of volume to make it messy, inspired by Amy (The Little Magpie) and Kayla (Kayla Hadlington). My hair is just s little too short so not quite a beautiful but I still love it and will be rocking it this summer. What do you think?

  2. I gotta say that I love the streak in your hair. It's kind of perfect, and your messy bun is most excellent. I wish I could make a proper messy bun, but I fear my hair is far too thin!

Love your plaid dress, too. :)

  5. What a great outfit! The dress is so cute. The whole look has kind of a grungy vibe. I know what you understand with being sort of a team. My boyfriend and I have the same. He is such a good photographer. If a photo suck, it's mostly because of me.
