I'm still exhausted from last week I feel like the weekend has actually made me feel worse. But it was worth it. Saturday me and Chris went on a date to London, and our favourite places. We started off at Covent garden (where I got my ring and spent a little too long in Forbidden Planet and the DM shop) then went straight to Camden.
We visit Camden every trip to London but we always leave empty handed. I remember when there used to be fantastic privately owned independent stalls all selling something different, now with American Apparel, Office, All Saints and a soon to be Urban Outfitters it feels like it's lost most of its charm. Camden has ways had fantastic street food but the rock a were nearly empty and KFC had a queue coming out of its door :( I remember when London College of Fashion students used to have their stalls selling there own designs now it just feels very commercial, even the Stables is losing its appeal.
One place sure to cheer me up is Vx at Kings Cross, the best vegan store ever! I can't resist a trip to London without a visit for a bit of Cat and The Cream cake and to look at everything else on sale, finishing up on Oxford street. I mainly wanted to go to the big Topshop and I was desperate to look at all the brand stuff, but I lost Chris in less than 5minutes to the pub calling fir an emergency jacket potato at Stratford on the way home. By this point we were both knackered! But for once I dressed appropriately.
Boots: Buffalo (similar here)

The boots were the perfect footwear for all the cobbles, and super comfortable. It was quite sunny in the morning so I threw in my dress but I get cold easily so I wanted a jacket too. This is where my new gilet from Waiste is perfect.
Not only is it the perfect "warm chest cool arms" combo but it's beautiful. Even Chris liked it (I'm not sharing). It arrived really quickly and is fantastic condition. The cuts in the sleeves don't look like they're created by Human hands their that straight! But my favourite thing is that it's over sized :) usually struggle with the size limit of boutique shops (they only seem to cater for a size 12 and below which means they're a no go for my 40inch chest) but the product image for this gilet made me confident it would fit and its perfect. It even has room to spare. I've actually been wearing it non stop, giving my nursing uniform a bit if a punk feel- the perfect thing to shock patients (I'm joking I take it off before I'm on the unit).
I really want to share all the amazing products from Waiste (or "the queen of customised denim") but I would be just pasting the whole stick inventory so instead these are my favourite gilets they sell, and cab be found here here and here. But I STRONGLY urge you to check out their denim jackets and amazing dungarees too.
