Dress c/o Voodoo Vixen (similar here and here)
Petticoat: eBay
Sandals: Dr Martens (similar here and here)
Bag: Gift
Cardigan: Vintage
Brooch: Ella Mobbs (similar here and here)
Headband: Clumsy Kate (similar here and here)

I was in two minds over posting this (hello over exposed images and side fringe) but this is an outfit I love. I swear I wear this like once a week (I'm surprised the dress hasn't fallen apart with so much wear) so is up there in my top 3 dresses.

The thing I love most about Voodoo Vixen dresses is the prints- they're so unique and bright. Sometimes I feel like the print REALLY emphasises my chest- but as a pay outfit makes my waist look smaller so exaggerates my hourglass figure. I love this dress.

These photos where taken after a day out at an air show (I LOVED IT) and a spot of rain so I was glad I had my Clumsy Kate headband to try to make a soggy fringe look half presentable. I love hair bands of all shapes and sizes but shy away from sharing them on my blog for a very silly reason- I can never get the bows to sit right. Super stupid reason!

I've been off Uni for two weeks now and I feel like I'm going a little insane. In my adult life I've never really had time off- choosing to work my holidays or spend them well planned. I've started about 50 chores and gave up, I feel like I need to have a project.

Today will be spent getting over the exhausting drive back form Manchester last night, which is a very small price to pay for an enjoyable weekend. I've grown to love the North- as has my boyfriend- especially the drive through the Peak District....

...Additionally I realised how awkward my name really is. When I was younger I always thought "Jodie Davey" was dead common and unoriginal- but it seems people always spell it wrong- this weekends taking it to a whole new level...

... I eqully love Georgian's Jam making post....

.... and Becky's Lemonade making gift set post as home made food is my biggest love...

Lemonade Recipe Equipment

... I cannot wait until Voodoo Vixen release their A/W range- fingers crossed this comes in plus size.

It's been over 6 weeks since I last posted. A part of me felt I would never get round to blogging again but I've missed it so much. I've struggled through work and assignments where the only reason I went online. I also had people I thought where friends be extremely rude and killed my blogging vibe- which is ironic as blogging has given me more friends than I ever had.

I neglected my appearance, and when your biggest interest in life is pin up fashion avoiding make up (as it irritated my stressed skin) and neglecting my straighteners I didn't feel pin up. Now I actually have time off and getting back the lost sleep I'm ready to care for myself again.

I know the phrase is you are what you eat- and if you put goodness in you you'll glow- but I've always believed the other way too. If externally you're happy, internally you are too-its why dying my hair improves my mood so much. I don't want to dwell on how low I have been feeling-I would much rather share my beautiful clothes! This is what I wore to the British Bells Pin Up Picnic In The Park several weeks ago.

Skirt: Pin Up Girl Clothing (similar here and here)
Halterneck top: Vintage (similar here and here)
Petticoat: Hell Bunny (similar here and here)
Parasol: Vintage (similar here and here)

I promise I was also wearing shoes- but I love the feel of grass under my feet so I kicked them off as soon as we got to Hyde Park.

This AMAZING Queen of Hearts Jenny skirt is the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. I didn't see the appeal of the Jenny until I wore this and I'm hooked!

The gathering at the waist gives the skirt some serious fullness (I don't really need a petticoat underneath) and the print itself is beautiful. The only down side is the sizing. I bought a 2xl for the waist (36 inches) but its actually a little baggy, nothing that adding a hook and eye or button wont fix. unlike my PUG capris I bought this skirt from Deadly Is The Female (a UK site) and they're awesome- fast, safe shipping and a lot cheaper overall.

I paired it with a vintage halterneck (and no bra obviously) and took my vintage parasol for its first and only trip this year.
